“Our first training session was focused entirely on getting him to learn how to relax on his own. Then, she focused on his comfort with new sounds, the outdoors, and other people/dogs. By the 3rd session he was walking around confidently and could walk past any person/dog without even barking. His socialization took a bit longer to get him to play with other dogs - but by the end, he now wrestles playfully with my friend's 80lb german shepherd. He knows recall, waiting at a boundary, down, how to go into his pen, etc. (though it will take a bit longer to perfect it outdoors with a lot of distractions). My favorite thing about her training is that she wasn't just training my dog, she was also training me. She taught me what I am supposed to do when she is not around, so that I could confidently train him on my own after our sessions were complete. She gave me the tools I need to be a successful dog owner.

For dog owners that are not familiar with fear-free training, it is a method of training animals by leveraging how much dogs value rewards. It prevents the stunting of dogs' personalities that comes with inhumane punishment, and teaches them how to make correct choices on their own. It works the best, but also takes more patience than the quick but damaging alternative, "NO!"

Her fear-free training should be the new golden standard for animals. I cannot recommend her more highly!”
